Electronic SpaceCop stops any unauthorised parking in your spot. Old fashioned metal car park posts have had their day!
Working on the same principle as SpaceHog, the floor-mounted unit will detect an arriving car or truck in seconds. As the vehicle parks the integral copper induction loop will give a clear and distinct reading that a vehicle is now present.
Modern power management software makes the SpaceCop fully automatic so that it can detect any car or truck within a few seconds of arrival. The brightly coloured plastic unit is designed for maximum visual impact to give drivers a clear message that this is a reserved parking space for authorised parking only!
The system works by detecting every vehicle that arrives and triggering a reaction from the SpaceCop. The countdown sequence starts with a simple bleep from the internal electronic alarm, building to a constant attention grabbing screech that lasts for either a pre-timed 120 seconds or longer if requested at the time of ordering. Remember that it is the alarm that is the major user of the battery pack.
Authorised parking is simple because each SpaceCop is supplied with a hand held radio trigger that stops the alarm sequence. Most drivers will park and use the trigger as they leave their car and the alarm is bleeping. The SpaceCop will give a response bleep confirming that it is locked onto the car or van.
Anyone parking in your spot will start the SpaceCop sequence and in most cases the steady bleeping of the alarm is enough of a deterrent to make them move the vehicle. If they do not take immediate action, the alarm sequence crescendos to its maximum warning mode. When the vehicle leaves the space the SpaceCop just quietly resets itself, waiting for the next arrival.
SpaceCop also automatically resets when the authorised user of the space leaves, no input or action is required from the driver - you just simply drive away. The SpaceCop will guard your space and be ready awaiting your return. |

Not only the senior management needs reserved parking places near the front door. A sound environmental investment policy is to introduce car pooling for the staff. Installing eco-friendly green SpaceCops in the parking spaces will identify them as reserved for people ‘doing their bit ‘ to reduce emmisions by sharing their car for journeys to and from work.
The solid polyurethane plastic mouldings are self-coloured for a long service life and low maintenance. The bright colours maximise the visual impact creating a powerful deterrent, keeping drivers and parking pests from taking your space.
Eco versions of the SpaceCop are engineered exactly as a standard product supplied with two hand held triggers, one for each car. Both triggers work to the same radio code but please remember that all the hand held triggers for a site can be common coded. Taking that approach allows the authorised drivers to use any of the reserved spaces.
The SpaceCop has modern power management software to keep the product working month after month. The battery power pack will keep everything working smoothly for a couple of years. We recommend a maintenance schedule that changes the battery pack after 12 months.
The alarm sequence for the Eco version of the SpaceCop starts with regular bleeping which starts a few seconds after a vehicle arrives and parks. As well as deterring parking pests, that sequence confirms to the driver that the his vehicle has been detected and the SpaceCop will respond back to being switched off by one of the radio triggers.
SpaceCops can be bolted securely down to asphalt, concrete or blocks, M10 x 80mm coachscrews, washers and nylon plugs are supplied with detailed fixing Instructions. The ideal location for installing a SpaceCop is in the centre of the parking space creating the maximum visual impact. In that position, all cars and vans that park will be detected. The product is also designed to take low speed traffic driving over without any damage.

Fold down metal car park posts were introduced in the 60s: The idea was simple. One lockable post fixed in the centre of the front of your car park space would keep people out! Unfortunately, people just parked in the gap in between the posts!
On arrival, the driver has to get out of their car, find the key and unlock the post, lower it to the ground and drive in. On departure the driver has to get out of the car, raise the post and lock it again.
There has to be a different way! SpaceCop is packed with electronics that will detect any car or van that parks in your space. Only authorised users will have the radio hand trigger to silence the alarm, any parking pest has to walk away from their car listening to the attention grabbing alarm building to a loud screech.
With SpaceCop the whole process is automatic, the radio triggers are common coded so that a trigger will operate any number of SpaceCops or they can be supplied with individual codes for extra security.
The installed costs of a metal car park post and a SpaceCop are very similar. Car park posts cannot be bolted directly onto asphalt. They need a small concrete foundation which must cure for a few days before being drilled for the fixing bolts. This involves work on at least two costly occasions. The modern answer is SpaceCop. Simply bolt down on the first visit directly to any surface, asphalt, concrete or blocks.
The tough polyurethane moulding is self-coloured with strong UV stable pigments, so producing house colours is an option. A strong contrasting colour makes the most effective visual deterrent backed up with a suitable package of warning signs stating this car park is for authorised parking only.
With the pressure today on parking spaces there’s no complete answer to the problem of keeping your space reserved. SpaceCops offer a modern solution that drivers will be pleased to use and they will dramatically reduce the occasions when you cannot park because some parking pest has taken your space.
