Extra Wide Smart Ramps
|
|
Used on sites where there is
a clear social conscience and the commitment to
slow the traffic down to a safe speed with a
minimum of discomfort to the driver and
passengers of the vehicles. The design of the
extra wide Smart Ramp (one metre) will bring
drivers speeds down to around 5 to 10mph. Smart
end caps are included for extra safety and a
professional finish to the ramps. For added
strength the rubber ramp has an integral steel
scaffold tube running along the centre under the
centre of the
ramp. |

KerbStopper Parking Buffer
|
|
How do you let a highly
trained HGV driver know that they are parked
correctly and safely? The heavy-duty KerbStopper
parking buffer is simply installed in trailer
bays usually 2.5 metres from the end to give the
driver that message. A fully laden HGV will put
on a considerable load when they park against
the buffer, the CB1 buffer deforms under extreme
loading and will recover 99.9% as the vehicle
moves off and the load is removed. This proven
safety has a service
life. |

Out and about . . .
|
|
I thought it would be a good
idea on my travels that if I saw some ‘hazard’
safety products working hard I would take a
quick snap with my phone. This photo was of an
installation of CB1 at the new Extra Service
Station on the M40. The rubber parking buffer is
used to park the HGVs and their trailers safely
and helps prevent any accidental damage by
reversing vehicles into the landscaping and
expensive street furniture. The work was carried
out by our ‘in house’ installation team and the
EPDM rubber CB1 parking buffer was bolted
directly on to
asphalt. |
