Standfast (SSF) Car Posts protect your individual parking space. Sited in the middle of the parking space, the post is locked in the up position to keep your space. On arrival the driver can quickly lower the post to allow the car to safely drive over and park.

The integral key lock is mounted at the top of the Standfast Car Park Post for easy operation. The post is left in the down position whilst the car is parking and raised when the vehicle exits. The integral lock triggers automatically when the post is in the up position.

The standard post colour is yellow:
Posts can also be supplied in a galvanised finish. A master key (to pass) can be supplied to operate any number of Standfast Posts on a site or posts can be individually locked. The sturdy bolt down metal base is designed to be located onto either a concrete deck or a concrete pad set into asphalt.

The Standfast Post is 625mm high x 63mm diameter. There is also a padlocked version (SSFL) that can be locked in both the upright and lowered position.

Mole Posts (TMP) drop into the ground until it is flush with the top surface, removing any potential trip hazard. Mole Posts offer security and can be used on garage forecourts, car parks, driveways and for cordoning off areas around a site.

Secured in the upright position
by a padlock at the bottom of the galvanised casing, the post is easy to operate and pull out of the ground. Heavy duty steel construction ensures a long service life with low maintenance costs. The post is 650mm high from ground level.

Anti-Ram Posts are a proven design to protect retail shop fronts, warehouses and property from the risk of ram raiders. Hot dipped galvanised after manufacture for long service life without corrosion. Key operated, the Anti-Ram Post is pulled or lowered into its concrete encased sleeve.

I want to protect my shop front/garage frontage? Mole or Anti-Ram Posts that sink into the ground are very effective deterrents
and they fit flush with the ground when not in use.

Large range of steel Removable Bollards: There is a choice of coloured banding on black posts - white or yellow. Both options have bright amber reflectors to make drivers aware day or night.
Small: 750mm high for use in driveways and forecourts.
Medium: 900mm high for car parks, town centres, supermarkets and garages.
Large: 1100mm high for HGV sites, pathway closures and restricted areas in parks.

The large version has two metal handles incorporated into the design for easy handling. There can be a storage problem with any of the Removable Bollards when they are removed from their sockets. Installing a spare “parking” socket gives you the option of storing the Bollards to one side of the installation.

Securely padlocked in position into the ground socket. When the Bollards are removed, the galvanised socket lid is flipped shut and locked into place, reducing the risk of pedestrians tripping.

The installation requires
a concrete foundation to set the ground socket in position. The excavated hole should be 300mm square by 400mm deep. The concrete will take at least 24 hours to cure before the Removable Bollard can be locked in place.

The galvanised ground sockets
have other applications: They have been used to support the booms of large Traffic Barriers. The socket design allows the centre post to support either of the aluminium booms in the down position when operated singularly. The post can be safely removed should both Barrier booms be needed to be in the up position.

Questions and Answers
My car park has an asphalt surface. Which bollards should I use? Important! You cannot bolt down Bollards directly onto asphalt, it is too soft a material. So there’s a choice. Either dig a hole and set the bollard into concrete or construct a concrete pad and use a bolt down bollard.

All hardwoods used are supplied by countries where governments operate strict controls on the size of trees that can be felled and where a forest conservation policy and replantation program is in operation. This range off Bollards has been designed to suit both urban and rural settings; wherever they are considered to be most in harmony with both natural and made-made settings.

Timber Bollards offer a timeless elegance and, being of natural material, age gracefully. The essence of effective timber Bollards is the use of hardwoods, such as Greenheart, Wallabe or Opepe, which are classified as ‘naturally very durable’.

These timbers are very strong and have a good fire resistance. Modern styles with smooth, rounded edges are popularly used in new towns throughout the country while the more traditional styles tend to enhance areas of historic importance.

To form a pedestrian barrier, timber Bollards can be drilled to accept tube or fitted with eye-bolts for steel chain.Since stainless steel is exceptionally strong and will not fracture on impact it is ideally suited for use in the production of traffic Bollards. All the steel Bollards are available in a variety of diameters and lengths. This material is hard-wearing and low maintenance.

Since its introduction in 1999, the stainless steel range has proved immensely popular with specifiers who have chosen to use it in a wide variety of locations including town centres, shopping malls, hospitals and hotels. Bollards are also available with sloped 45-degree tops and banded polished rings.

Many stainless steel products can be etched with either standard or customised client specific wording and symols, for more information please call our sales team.

Questions and Answers
How long have we been using bollards?
In the eighteenth century the old stone Bollards were replaced with iron utilising cannon barrels which were captured or surplus from the European wars.

Modern, heavy duty commercial vehicles can carry large and heavy payloads, often weighing up to 38 tonnes, to be efficient to their owner. However to pedestrians, roadside structures and street furniture they can present a constant source of damage and danger.

Overhanging or historic buildings are also at risk and in need of protection and damage means costly repairs and does nothing to enhance the appearance of our environment.

Polyurethane Elastomer (PU) Bollards and guardrails are manufactured from a tough, durable engineering grade of polyurethane cast around a steel core. A modern material offering low maintenance coupled with excellent resistance to the weather and many other types of abrasion.

A wide selection is available: Standard paint finish is a two pack polyurethane gloss coating available in a range of BS4800 or RAL colour references. Bollards may be highlighted in a contrasting colour and some have been designed for use with Class 1 reflective tape for optimum visibility.

Directional signs, information panels and finger posts are important features of any well planned street scheme.

There is a wide choice of columns and finials finished in most BS4800 and RAL series colours, ensuring consistency with other items of street furniture.

Wall mounted versions are available with or without a header board. The header board is cast to include the local authority or company logo, site details or public information. The robust cases are protected against dust and damp, the doors are glazed with toughened float glass and sealed both sides of the glazing with a perimeter EPDM seal. To prevent vandalism the cases are supplied with a concealed secure locking system and an instruction sheet is provided.
