Q. Where can I use the rubber Kerbstopper?

a. The product is a bolt down kerbstone that vehicles can park safely against. There is no foundation or civil work needed, making the installation very straightforward. A typical location would be to install kerbstones to park all types of vehicles against and at a safe distance away from landscaping, fencing or property.

Q. Where do you use the all black?

Q. a. Trailer parks where triple axle maximum HGVs are parking. The product is highly visible to the driver assisting them to park safely. The tough all black construction makes the product the toughest on the market and withstands the type of loading these heavy trailers can deliver.

Q. Where do you use the yellow and black?

a. Where cars and light vans are being parked. Often installed in a continuous length, the yellow and black combination really makes the product stand out.

Q. Can it be cut to size?

a. Yes, and it is free of charge. We will cut to any size from 500mm upwards plus or minus 10mm. Having the exact size of buffer to suit your site makes the product work more effectively..Back to top

Q. Why are they not bigger?

a. Mud flaps in a word. Even the largest trailers have their mud flaps fitted low to prevent surface rainwater spray. Reversing on to larger objects can cause a lot of damage, trapping the mud flaps against the trailer wheels.

Q. Can all vehicles park safely against the product?

a. Everything from a Smart car to the largest HGVs. Drivers of low-slung vehicles with ultra low front spoilers will be very aware of kerbstone profiles and will park keeping a safe distance instead of rolling to a stop and directly parking against the buffer.

Q. How does it bolt down?

a. A factory fixing kit pack is pre-fitted so, when the product arrives on site, it is ready for installation. All the anchor bolts are provided and the only work on site is to drill the holes into the road surface. There is no marking out, making for a trouble free installation. The metal fixing plates are secured with 4 x M10 x 80 anchor bolts.

Q. Can you bolt the Kerbstopper to all surfaces?

a. Not all but most. Concrete, asphalt and block surfaces install securely and are very well proven.

Q. Do I need reflectors?

a. It is an option. We simply provide a bigger steel fixing plate with a middle hole for the reflector. Remember that most vehicles are reversing on to the product and their reversing lights are not likely to make much visual impact or give the driver much warning.

Q.
Will the driver of a triple axle trailer and unit know when to stop?
a. Yes. These sturdy solid blocks of rubber will give enough feedback to an aware driver that the safe parking limit has been reached.

Q. If they park badly on top of the Kerbstopper will it recover?

a. Rubber has qualities that most plastics aspire to have. When compressed, rubber will change shape and, when the load is removed, the rubber has a memory and will recover its shape 99.9% each time.

Q. Will people trip over the product?

a. To be fair, people can trip over granite kerbstones. These products are rubber, in some cases black & yellow, and in all cases a foreign object bolted to the surface. They are therefore highly visible and do not create a tripping hazard

Q. Can it been seen at night?

a. Headlight and reversing lights will clearly pick up the buffers.Back to top

Q. Will it go round a bend?

a. The minimum radius of bend that will work for a continuous run is 20 metres. Back to top

Q. How long does it take to install?
a. It requires four holes every 500mm. Each hole is 14mm diameter and drilled to a depth of 100mm. Our engineers install the ramp at the rate of 6.00 metres per hour.

Q. Will they need painting?

a. No. Both the black and yellow rubbers are self-coloured.Back to top
